The Villages Referral Process and Forms

Because The Villages is a family stlye program serving young people with many significant challenges, the referral process we follow is more extensive than some. The Villages program, developed over 40 years, relies upon the relationship between not only the youth and the house parents (who are the primary relationship in the healing and or behavior change process) but also between the young people themselves. Making sure we, as house parents, social worker and support staff, have the necessary skills to meet the needs of a youth being referred to the program and also making sure that the youth and the other young people in the home are each going to be safe and a positive influence on each other's programs is not something we believe is best done on the basis of a single page form. We hope you agree and will be willing to send additional requested information you have and also that you will be available to discuss your young person's strengths and needs as we review his/her referral. Once a youth is accepted at The Villages the following paperwork will be needed prior to placement. Feel free to speak with your young person's Villages Social Worker with any questions.
